Start a regular conversation
Having attended the course and as you continue in the role as Chair there will be times when having already set up a regular conversation will someone experienced will help enormously. This might be called mentoring, support or just an opportunity to confidentially discuss, find solutions, and take advice. This is an offer for you in the first year of chairing following th session.
Meeting on Zoom with Mike Simmonds could be monthly, half-termly, or termly. Whatever suits you. It would preferably be during the working day but other times could be discussed. Each call could be half an hour but rarely longer than an hour. The time spent and discussion issues will be led by you or prompted by Mike.
